Twice, this year, the President has declared that America is no longer a “Christian” nation. Once he said, “America is no longer a Christian nation, but a nation of many gods.” The next time he stated, “America is no longer a Christian nation, but a nation of many citizens.” Would you agree with our President, that America is not a Christian nation? One of the reporters made a comment saying, “Have you seen our congress and how they act? Have you taken a close look at our laws about abortion and our acceptance of homosexuality? If this is Christianity, we have no hope!” Is America acting like a Christian nation? NO! But we were founded as a Christian nation and America requested the God of creation to be her God and her deliverer. America has turned from God just like Israel did and unless we return to God, we will see the destruction of America just as Israel watched and lived through the destruction of their country.
I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt (England!), out of the house of bondage.
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Ex 20:2-6
Every country declares their god. From day one, America has declared the God of creation to be her God. Our first turning away from God came when we allowed evolution to be taught in our schools and our textbooks. God makes it clear in His Word that we were created by Him. To entertain any other form of life is to turn from the Word of God. Today, America does not believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God. That’s why so many people feel the freedom to rewrite God’s Word. Satan has been in the garden of America and America has believed a lie. She has sinned unto death. The wages of sin is death! The only hope for survival is repentance and confession of sins to the God of heaven, our Creator.
Our God gives liberty and life. Have you noticed lately that your liberties are almost gone? Have you noticed lately that death is more obvious now than life. Every where death and bondage are, God is not! Everyday we hear of not one, but many shootings or killings in our country. In the first two years of our war, there were more deaths in California in one month than there were on the battle ground. Everyone is up set with our losses in the war and are ignoring the death of our nation. Our war on our foreign field is nothing compared to our war at home. Rick Warren was asked how he could support the President, when he differed so much with his belief. He said, “You don’t have to agree to walk together.” Wrong? While the church and the state are to remain separate in their operations, how can they walk together unless they agree?
Can two walk together, except they be agreed? Amos 3:3
This is Mother’s Month and I challenge the mothers of America to be Deborahs. Deborah said,
“The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel. They chose new gods; then was war in the gates: was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Israel? My heart is toward the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless ye the LORD.” (Judge 5:7-9)
Deborah never declared herself to be an authority in Israel. God does not call her the “Judge of Israel”. God names Barak as judge in the twelveth chapter of Hebrews. The people were going to Deborah because she knew the Word of God and she knew how to get true and righteous judgment from the Word of God. People were looking for answers, and she could answer their questions. While she worked, Barak slept. Godly discernment had almost disappeared in Israel.
God created woman to be a “help meet” for mankind. Her work is to be an instrument of righteousness in the hands of the living God, BUT so often Satan convinces her to work the works of unrighteousness to advance his cause, at the cost of destroying the work of God in our lives.
Mothers, you have the heart of your husbands (if not, you could if you sought it), and you have the lives of your children in your hands. You are in the best position to work a work that could turn our country around. Reach over and shake your Barak and tell him it is time to get up. “Hath not God said?”
Woman’s greatest temptation is that she sees what needs to be done, complains about the men not doing it, and then sets out to do the man’s job. That is not God’s design. He never intended woman to do man’s job. He created her to “help” the man. Help him to get up.
Our American equality has almost destroyed us. God created all men equal, but no one can serve another and maintain their equality. God says to humble ourselves in order to serve. Humbling ourselves does not make us less of a person, but puts us in a perfect position to accomplish our work. What is our greatest struggle in coming to God? Our greatest struggle is bending the knee and allowing Him to do the leading. This is our same struggle when we serve one another.
How would you describe the common mother in America? I remember when television became popular, they presented the housewife in a robe with curlers in her hair, sitting at a table, reading the paper and drinking a cup of coffee. In other words, lazy! Before the baby boomers, the mothers were depicted by the preachers as “praying mothers”, on their knees for their families and loved ones. They were seeking spiritual food for those God had given them to nourish. Children remembered their mothers as praying saints. A preacher would preach about their praying mothers and they would weep and repent. The same group of men today would go cold at the remembrance of home. Many of the mothers of America have been put to sleep by the blessings and opportunities of America and have stopped praying.
Too many of the children today have hard memories of their parents. They remember them fighting and complaining. They remember them whining about life. They remember anger at one another, not compassion and love. Over and over I have heard mothers and daddies say to their children, “If you don’t behave I am going to kick your ‘b_ _ _’ .” I didn’t want to put that in the paper, but what a shame that mothers and daddies speak to their children without respect. What a memory we are making.
Wake up, mother!!! Reach over and shake your Barak. Tell him, “Hath not God said?” I must admit that it scares me somewhat to stir women up. Women have the potential of helping or destroying. I would say to the strange woman, “Please keep your seat. We already have enough strange women standing in our country.” But to the virtuous woman, who walks in the fear of the Lord, I say, “Please wake up and in love, stir the man in your life to fig
ht the enemy and protect our freedoms.” Many women remain silent because they are afraid of being out of line with God. I can appreciate their desire to be right, but I believe that Satan works diligently to keep women from making a difference in the lives of man by telling her that the work God has given her to do is not important to the outcome of life. He is so wrong! If Adam had not had a need, woman would not have been created! It is not good for man to be alone! That was the very first time that God stated that something in creation was not good! But woman, being the last creation, made a big difference. God said, when all was finished, “…and behold, it was very good.” (Gen.1:31)
Satan has a multitude of women working for his kingdom today. The world is using women to sell their goods and meet their ungodly cravings. Women are being deceived by the multitudes. They are selling themselves cheap. They do not realize their true value. Mystery Babylon is using her sisters to kill mankind. Mystery Babylon is sitting on the back of the beast, drinking the blood of the saints. Mrs. Jerusalem has produced a son and is being protected by her husband, the Lord Jesus Christ. As a woman, are you a part of Mystery Babylon, working for Satan’s kingdom, or a part of Mrs. Jerusalem, doing the work of the Kingdom of God?
If you are a part of the Kingdom of God, please wake up. Get that man in the house up and encourage him in the Lord to do what God has commissioned him, man, to do. If he is scared, go with him, BUT do not do his job.
Deborah had been doing Barak’s job and she realized that while she was helping people, she was not saving her country. Deborah’s heart was toward the governors, the leaders. She didn’t want their jobs, but she longed for them to get victory for the people. God will not allow the women to do the men’s job for him. Yet, there is no greater object that can get a man moving like a godly loving woman who stirs his heart for good.
Mothers, rear your children to perform the work of God. Stir your husbands and sons to fulfill the work God has placed in their hands. Let them know you will be with them and you will be praying for them as they go. Rear daughters to make a difference!
